Joseph P. Bustard had the only apple press in the area. Farmers would travel the paths from Skippack Turnpike and Harleysville Turnpike to his farm with their apple crop for pressing.

This path or trail was know as "The way to Bustard Farm". Eventually it turned into Bustard Road.
